Dr. Raquel Martin is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Professor, Scientist, and Podcast Host at the intersection of mental health and social justice. Her clinical practice focuses on Black mental health, racism related stress, and Black identity development. As a professor at Tennessee State University she teaches courses such as Psychology of the Black Experience and Mental Health, Activism, & Hip Hop Music. Her research focuses on anti racist and anti oppressive frameworks, health disparities, and Black identity development. She also hosts a weekly podcast, Mind ya mental, which seeks to educate, empower, and uplift those seeking guidance through the monumental world of mental health.
